Ashtavakra Gita 18.42

18.42 Ashtavakra to Janaka

bhāvasya bhāvakaḥ kaścinna kiṃcidbhāvako'paraḥ | ubhayābhāvakaḥ kaścidevameva nirākulaḥ ||

Someone imagines that things exist; another imagines that nothing exists. Rare is the one who imagines neither, and so remains untroubled.

Arguing over big positions can become another source of agitation. Not needing to win the argument leaves the mind at ease.

Ashtavakra teaches Janaka in the final chapter on peace (shanti): he says some hold that things exist, others that nothing exists; rare is one who holds neither, and so stays untroubled.
