Ashtavakra Gita 2.12

2.12 Janaka to Ashtavakra

aho ahaṃ namo mahyaṃ eko'haṃ dehavānapi | kvacinna gantā nāgantā vyāpya viśvamavasthitaḥ ||

Oh, wonderful am I! Salutations to myself, who, though embodied, am one; who neither go anywhere nor come from anywhere, but abide pervading the universe.

Meaning today and context

However much your life moves around, the awareness at its centre does not go anywhere. That still centre can be a home in restless times.

Janaka, newly awakened by Ashtavakra's teaching, marvels that though he has a body he is one, neither going nor coming anywhere, pervading the universe.
