Ashtavakra Gita 2.18

2.18 Janaka to Ashtavakra

na me bandho'sti mokṣo vā bhrāntiḥ śāntā nirāśrayā | aho mayi sthitaṃ viśvaṃ vastuto na mayi sthitam ||

For me there is neither bondage nor liberation; the delusion has subsided, left without support. Oh! The universe rests in me, and yet in truth it does not rest in me.

Meaning today and context

When you stop seeing yourself as a problem to be fixed, even the struggle to be free drops away. What is left is a simple, quiet ease.

Janaka, newly awakened by Ashtavakra's teaching, says that for him there is neither bondage nor liberation; the delusion, having nothing to rest on, has subsided.
