Ashtavakra Gita 9.4

9.4 Ashtavakra to Janaka

ko'sau kālo vayaḥ kiṃ vā yatra dvandvāni no nṛṇām | tānyupekṣya yathāprāptavartī siddhimavāpnuyāt ||

What time is there, or what age of life, in which people are free of the pairs of opposites? Disregarding them, living with whatever comes, one attains fulfilment.

Meaning today and context

There will never be a perfect phase of life without problems, not after exams, marriage or retirement. Peace comes from meeting what arrives, not waiting for the ideal moment.

Ashtavakra teaches disenchantment (nirveda): there is no time or age in which people are free of the opposites; ignoring them and living with what comes, one reaches fulfilment.
