Avadhuta Gita 4.25

4.25 Dattatreya

vindati vindati na hi na hi yatra chandolakṣaṇaṃ na hi na hi tatra | samarasamagno bhāvitapūtaḥ pralapati tattvaṃ paramavadhūtaḥ ||

Where there is no 'finding' at all, no, no; where there are no rules of metre, no, no: there, immersed in the one taste of sameness, purified by his realisation, the supreme Avadhuta pours out the truth.

Meaning today and context

Truth spoken from realisation does not need polish or proper form. Sometimes what is most real comes out simply and spontaneously, not as a well-crafted argument.

The closing verse of chapter 4 (it also ends chapter 5): Dattatreya describes the supreme Avadhuta who, absorbed in the one taste of sameness, speaks the truth freely, without regard for the rules of metre.
