Avadhuta Gita 5.26

5.26 Dattatreya

gaganopamaśuddhaviśālasamaṃ atisarvavivarjitasarvasamam | gatasāravisāravikārasamaṃ kimu rodiṣi mānasi sarvasamam ||

Like the sky, pure, vast and the same; beyond all, free of all, the same in all; the same, gone beyond essence, spread and change. Why do you weep, O mind? All is one and the same.

Meaning today and context

Like the sky that clouds cannot stain, awareness stays open whatever passes through it. Pain moves through; the sky remains.

In chapter 5, Dattatreya speaks to his own mind with the refrain 'why do you weep?'; he describes reality as pure and vast like the sky, beyond all, free of essence, spread and change.
