Avadhuta Gita 5.5

5.5 Dattatreya

na hi bodhavibodhasamādhiriti na hi deśavideśasamādhiriti | na hi kālavikālasamādhiriti kimu rodiṣi mānasi sarvasamam ||

There is no samadhi of knowing and not knowing; there is no samadhi of this place or another; there is no samadhi of this time or another. Why do you weep, O mind? All is one and the same.

Meaning today and context

Peace is not only found in the right place, at the right hour, in the right meditation. What we seek in those conditions is already here, so missing a session is no cause for despair.

In chapter 5, Dattatreya speaks to his own mind with the refrain 'why do you weep?'; he says the Self needs no samadhi tied to knowing, place or time.
