Bhagavad Gita 11.43

11.43 Arjuna to Krishna

pitāsi lokasya carācarasya tvamasya pūjyaśca gururgarīyān | na tvatsamo'styabhyadhikaḥ kuto'nyo lokatraye'pyapratimaprabhāva ||

You are the father of this world, of all that moves and does not move; you are its object of worship and its most venerable teacher. There is none equal to you; how could there be anyone greater in the three worlds, you of incomparable power?

Meaning today and context

Seeing someone's true worth is what makes our past carelessness hurt. Recognition and regret come together, and both can lead to deeper respect.

Arjuna explains why his offences weigh on him: Krishna is the father of the world and has no equal.
