न वेदयज्ञाध्ययनैर्न दानैर्न च क्रियाभिर्न तपोभिरुग्रैः । एवंरूपः शक्य अहं नृलोके द्रष्टुं त्वदन्येन कुरुप्रवीर ॥
na vedayajñādhyayanairna dānairna ca kriyābhirna tapobhirugraiḥ | evaṃrūpaḥ śakya ahaṃ nṛloke draṣṭuṃ tvadanyena kurupravīra ||
Not by the Vedas, sacrifices or study, not by gifts, not by rituals, not by fierce austerities can I be seen in this form in the world of men by anyone but you, hero of the Kurus.
हे कुरुश्रेष्ठ, न वेदों और यज्ञों के अध्ययन से, न दान से, न कर्मकांड से, न उग्र तपस्या से, मनुष्य-लोक में तुम्हारे सिवा कोई और मुझे इस रूप में देख सकता है।
