Bhagavad Gita 14.21

14.21 Arjuna to Krishna

kairliṅgaistrīnguṇānetānatīto bhavati prabho | kimācāraḥ kathaṃ caitāṃstrīnguṇānativartate ||

Arjuna said: By what marks is one known who has gone beyond these three guṇas, Lord? What is their conduct, and how do they go beyond the three guṇas?

Meaning today and context

Arjuna wants something practical: what does inner freedom look like in behaviour, and how is it reached? It is a good question to ask of any teaching.

Arjuna asks Krishna for the marks of one who has gone beyond the three guṇas: how such a person behaves and how they transcend them.
