Bhagavad Gita 16.16

16.16 Krishna to Arjuna

anekacittavibhrāntā mohajālasamāvṛtāḥ | prasaktāḥ kāmabhogeṣu patanti narake'śucau ||

Bewildered by many thoughts, wrapped in a net of delusion, addicted to the enjoyment of desires, they fall into a foul hell.

Not a threat to anyone. It describes where a way of living leads, as a reason to examine oneself.

Meaning today and context

A mind pulled by many wants becomes tangled like a fish in a net. Living that way is already a kind of hell: restless, scattered and never at peace.

Krishna says such people, scattered in mind and caught in delusion, fall into a foul hell.
