Bhagavad Gita 7.7

7.7 Krishna to Arjuna

mattaḥ parataraṃ nānyatkiṃ cidasti dhanaṃjaya | mayi sarvamidaṃ protaṃ sūtre maṇigaṇā iva ||

There is nothing whatever higher than me, Dhananjaya. All this is strung on me like rows of gems on a thread.

Meaning today and context

Life can look like scattered beads: work, family, joys, losses. The verse points to a single thread running through all of them, which gives the whole its unity.

Krishna says nothing is higher than him; all is strung on him like pearls on a thread.
