अथ प्राणमत्यवहत् । स यदा मृत्युमत्यमुच्यत स वायुरभवत् । सोऽयं वायुः परेण मृत्युमतिक्रान्तः पवते ॥
atha prāṇamatyavahat | sa yadā mṛtyumatyamucyata sa vāyurabhavat | so'yaṃ vāyuḥ pareṇa mṛtyumatikrāntaḥ pavate ||
Then it carried breath across. When it was freed from death, it became wind. This wind, having passed beyond death, blows.
फिर उसने प्राण (घ्राण) को पार पहुँचाया। जब वह मृत्यु से छूटा, तो वायु बन गया। यह वायु मृत्यु के पार जाकर बहती है।
