Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 3.7.15

3.7.15 Yajnavalkya to Uddalaka Aruni

athādhibhūtam | yaḥ sarveṣu bhūteṣu tiṣṭhansarvebhyo bhūtebhyo'ntaro yaṃ sarvāṇi bhūtāni na viduryasya sarvāṇi bhutāni śarīraṃ yaḥ sarvāṇi bhūtānyantaro yamayatyeṣa ta ātmāntaryāmyamṛtaḥ | ityadhibhūtam ||

Now with regard to beings. He who dwells in all beings yet is other than all beings, whom all beings do not know, whose body all beings are, who controls all beings from within: he is your self, the inner controller, the immortal. So much with regard to beings.

Meaning today and context

The self that guides you from within is the same that guides every other being. Seeing this is the ground for treating others as one would treat oneself.

Brihadaranyaka 3.7.15. Yajnavalkya turns from nature to living beings (adhibhuta), still answering Uddalaka Aruni.
