Those men who have no devotion to the lotus feet of glorious Yaśodā's son, whose tongue takes no delight in telling the dear virtues of the cowherd maiden, whose ears do not listen with reverence to the charming tales of Śrī Krishna's play: 'Shame on them, shame on them, shame on these!' says the mṛdaṅga at the kīrtan, again and again.

A devotional sragdharā verse in which the drum at a kīrtan seems to sound out a reproach to those without love for Krishna.
