rūpayauvanasampannā viśālakulasambhavāḥ | vidyāhīnā na śobhante nirgandhā iva kiṃśukāḥ ||

Though endowed with beauty and youth and born in great families, those without learning do not shine, like kiṃśuka flowers that have no fragrance.

Meaning today and context

Looks, youth and family name fade or mean little on their own. What you learn and know is what gives lasting worth.

Chanakya says beauty, youth and noble birth are hollow without learning, like the bright but scentless kiṃśuka flower.
