devairatrāpi vicikitsitaṃ purā na hi sujñeyamaṇureṣa dharmaḥ | anyaṃ varaṃ naciketo vṛṇīṣva mā moparotsīrati mā sṛjainam ||
Even the gods of old had doubts about this; it is not easy to understand, so subtle is this matter. Choose another boon, Naciketas. Do not press me; release me from this one.
