1.4 Upanishadic seer

svaprasthāno'ntaḥprajñaḥ saptāṅga ekonaviṃśatimukhaḥ praviviktabhuktaijaso dvitīyaḥ pādaḥ ||

The second quarter is Taijasa, whose field is the dream state, whose awareness is turned inward, who has seven limbs and nineteen mouths, and who enjoys the subtle [world].

Meaning today and context

In dreams the mind makes a whole world from itself, and while it lasts it feels completely real. Noticing this can make us gentler with the worlds our thoughts and worries build while we are awake.

The second quarter of the Self: Taijasa, awareness in the dream state, turned inward and experiencing subtle, mind-made objects.
