Meaning today and context
Instead of debating, read what nourishes devotion, think it over, and do the things that keep it alive: prayer, singing, service.
Instead of argument, Narada advises reflecting on the scriptures of devotion and doing what awakens it. Our print reads tad-bodha ('that awakens knowledge of it'); the common text tad-udbodha ('that awakens it'), with the same sense.
