अधिगत-परमार्थान्पण्डितान्मावमंस्थास् । तृणमिव लघु लक्ष्मीर्नैव तान्संरुणद्धि । अभिनव-मद-लेखा-श्याम-गण्ड-स्थलानां । न भवति बिसतन्तुर्वारणं वारणानाम् ॥
adhigata-paramārthānpaṇḍitānmāvamaṃsthās | tṛṇamiva laghu lakṣmīrnaiva tānsaṃruṇaddhi | abhinava-mada-lekhā-śyāma-gaṇḍa-sthalānāṃ | na bhavati bisatanturvāraṇaṃ vāraṇānām ||
Do not slight wise people who have grasped the highest truth. Wealth, light as a blade of grass, cannot hold them back. A lotus fibre is no restraint for elephants whose temples are dark with fresh streaks of rut.
परम तत्त्व को जान चुके विद्वानों का अपमान मत करो। तिनके जैसी हल्की लक्ष्मी उन्हें बाँध नहीं सकती। जिन हाथियों के गालों पर ताज़ा मद की काली रेखाएँ हैं, उन्हें कमलनाल का तंतु नहीं रोक सकता।
