kare ślāghyastyāgaḥ śirasi guru-pāda-praṇayitā | mukhe satyā vāṇī vijayi bhujayorvīryamatulam | hṛdi svacchā vṛttiḥ śrutamadhigataṃ ca śravaṇayor | vināpyaiśvaryeṇa prakṛti-mahatāṃ maṇḍanamidam ||

In the hand, praiseworthy giving; on the head, devotion at the teacher's feet; in the mouth, truthful speech; in the arms, unmatched victorious strength; in the heart, a clear and honest disposition; in the ears, learning that has been heard. Even without riches, this is the adornment of those great by nature.

Bhartrihari describes the true ornaments of the naturally great, part by part of the body, in place of jewellery.
