"One who, knowing thus, understands prāṇa: his line does not fail, and he becomes immortal. On this there is a verse:"

Meaning today and context

Understanding where our life comes from changes how we live it. The Upanishad promises that this understanding lasts beyond one lifetime.

Pippalāda concludes his answer to Kausalya: one who knows prāṇa in this way is not cut off from his descendants and becomes immortal; a verse follows.
