I know him, ageless and ancient, the Self of all, present in all through his pervading nature, of whom the knowers of Brahman declare there is no birth; they declare him eternal.

Bodies age and roles change, but the sage points to a Self in all of us that does not grow old. That can steady us through ageing and loss.
In the third chapter Shvetashvatara praises the one Lord, Rudra (Śiva), as ruler of the worlds. The sage again speaks from his own knowing: the Self of all is ageless and ancient, and the knowers of Brahman say it has no birth.
