Shvetashvatara Upanishad 4.11

4.11 Upanishadic seer

yo yoniṃ-yonimadhitiṣṭhatyeko yasminnidaṃ saṃ ca vi caiti sarvam | tamīśānaṃ varadaṃ devamīḍyaṃ nicāyyemāṃ śāntimatyantameti ||

He who alone presides over every womb, every source; in whom all this comes together and dissolves: by discerning Him, the Lord, the giver of boons, the God worthy of praise, one comes to this peace that never ends.

Meaning today and context

Lasting peace does not come from controlling everything but from knowing what holds everything. When we see that we are held, our anxious grip can loosen.

The sage says that by discerning the one Lord who presides over every source of birth, one reaches lasting peace.
