I am the mover of the tree. My fame is like a mountain's peak. Lifted high and pure, like the strength in the sun, I am the excellent immortal. I am wealth full of radiance, wise, immortal, imperishable. Thus was Triśaṅku's declaration on attaining knowledge.

These are not the words of an ego but of one who has found that his real self is pure and undying. Discovering what we are underneath gives a steadiness no praise or loss can shake.
Taittirīya 1.10.1: the declaration of the seer Triśaṅku after realising the Self, spoken in the first person as the one he has become.
