He who is the bull among the Vedic metres, of every form, who arose from the metres, from the immortal: may that Indra strengthen me with intelligence. O god, may I become a holder of the immortal. May my body be vigorous, my tongue most sweet. May I hear much with my ears. You are the sheath of Brahman, covered over by intelligence. Guard what I have learned.

A prayer every student can understand: for a sharp mind, a healthy body, kind speech, and the ability to keep what one has learned. It asks for capacity, not just results.
Taittirīya 1.4.1: the teacher's prayer for intelligence (medhā) and a retentive memory, addressed to Indra as Om, the 'bull among the metres'.
