Then bring me prosperity, she who brings, spreads and quickly makes for me clothes and cattle, food and drink at all times; bring her rich in wool, with livestock. Svāhā. May students come to me, svāhā. May students come to me from many places, svāhā. May students come forward to me, svāhā. May students be self-controlled, svāhā. May students be calm, svāhā. May students be at peace, svāhā.

Meaning today and context

The teacher asks honestly for what a household needs and for good, self-controlled students. The Upanishad does not treat a wish for livelihood as shameful.

Taittirīya 1.4.2: the teacher, having asked for intelligence, now prays for prosperity (clothes, cattle, food) and for students to come to him from all sides, with offerings (svāhā).
