Uddhava Gita 1.4

1.4 Shuka to Parikshit

dvārakāmupasañjagmuḥ sarve kṛṣṇadidṛkṣavaḥ | vapuṣā yena bhagavānnaralokamanoramaḥ | yaśo vitene lokeṣu sarvalokamalāpaham ||

All of them came to Dvaraka, longing to see Krishna: the form by which the Lord, delight of the world of men, spread through all the worlds a fame that washes away the impurity of every world.

Meaning today and context

The Bhagavata holds that Krishna's life itself, told and retold, is what cleanses people. The gods come not for business but simply to see him.

Shuka says all these beings came to Dvaraka longing to see Krishna, whose human form had spread his purifying fame through the worlds.
