देवदेवेश योगेश पुण्यश्रवणकीर्तन । संहृत्यैतत्कुलं नूनं लोकं सन्त्यक्ष्यते भवान् । विप्रशापं समर्थोऽपि प्रत्यहन्न यदीश्वरः ॥
devadeveśa yogeśa puṇyaśravaṇakīrtana | saṃhṛtyaitatkulaṃ nūnaṃ lokaṃ santyakṣyate bhavān | vipraśāpaṃ samartho'pi pratyahanna yadīśvaraḥ ||
Uddhava said: God of gods, lord of yoga, whose name is holy to hear and to praise: surely you will withdraw this clan and then leave this world, since, though fully able, you did not counter the brahmins' curse, Lord that you are.
उद्धव ने कहा: हे देवदेवेश, हे योगेश्वर, जिनका नाम सुनना और गाना पुण्यदायी है: निश्चय ही आप इस कुल को समेटकर इस लोक को छोड़ देंगे, क्योंकि समर्थ ईश्वर होते हुए भी आपने ब्राह्मणों के शाप को नहीं टाला।
