Uddhava Gita 10.30

10.30 Krishna to Uddhava

madvibhūtīrabhidhyāyanśrīvatsāstravibhūṣitāḥ | dhvajātapatravyajanaiḥ sa bhavedaparājitaḥ ||

Meditating on my manifestations, adorned with the Śrīvatsa mark and weapons, with banner, royal parasol and fans, one becomes unconquerable.

This verse states what the Bhāgavata claims about yogic powers (siddhis); it is not a feat to attempt or test, and it proves nothing about anyone. Be wary of anyone who sells, demonstrates or promises such powers, or asks for money or obedience in return. Krishna himself calls these powers obstacles that waste the seeker's time (UG.10.33).

Meaning today and context

This is part of the text's catalogue of yogic powers, not something anyone can do or demonstrate. What it shows is how the Bhāgavata ranks such powers: below devotion, and as a distraction from it.

Krishna gives the lesser power of being unconquerable.
