svacchandamṛtyurdevānāṃ sahakrīḍānudarśanam | yathāsaṅkalpasaṃsiddhirājñāpratihatā gatiḥ ||
dying at one's own will, witnessing and sharing the sports of the gods, accomplishing exactly what one resolves, and command and movement that nothing obstructs;
अपनी इच्छा से मृत्यु, देवताओं की क्रीड़ा को देखना और उसमें साथ होना, संकल्प के अनुसार सिद्धि, तथा ऐसी आज्ञा और गति जिसे कोई रोक न सके;
This verse states what the Bhāgavata claims about yogic powers (siddhis); it is not a feat to attempt or test, and it proves nothing about anyone. Be wary of anyone who sells, demonstrates or promises such powers, or asks for money or obedience in return. Krishna himself calls these powers obstacles that waste the seeker's time (UG.10.33). 'Dying at will' is a claim about yogis in the text, never a reason or method to end a life; if you are thinking of dying, call Tele-MANAS 14416.
Meaning today and context
This is part of the text's catalogue of yogic powers, not something anyone can do or demonstrate. What it shows is how the Bhāgavata ranks such powers: below devotion, and as a distraction from it.
Krishna continues the ten secondary powers.
