Uddhava Gita 11.32

11.32 Krishna to Uddhava

ojaḥ saho balavatāṃ karmāhaṃ viddhi sātvatām | sātvatāṃ navamūrtīnāmādimūrtirahaṃ parā ||

Of the strong I am vigour and endurance; know me as the devoted work of the Sātvatas (devotees); among the nine forms the Sātvatas worship, I am the first, supreme form.

Meaning today and context

Strength is not only force but the endurance to keep going. Work done in devotion is itself named a glory of God.

Krishna lists his vibhūtis (manifestations of glory) to Uddhava (Bhāgavata 11.16), a list close to Gita chapter 10. He is the vigour and endurance of the strong, the devotion of the Sātvatas, and the first of their nine forms of God.
