कुटुम्बेषु न सज्जेत न प्रमाद्येत्कुटुम्ब्यपि । विपश्चिन्नश्वरं पश्येददृष्टमपि दृष्टवत् ॥
kuṭumbeṣu na sajjeta na pramādyetkuṭumbyapi | vipaścinnaśvaraṃ paśyedadṛṣṭamapi dṛṣṭavat ||
He should not be attached to his family, nor, though a family man, be careless. The wise one should see that even unseen rewards, like heaven, perish just as seen things do.
वह परिवार में आसक्त न हो, और गृहस्थ होकर भी प्रमाद न करे। विद्वान पुरुष अदृश्य (स्वर्ग आदि) को भी दिखने वाली वस्तुओं की तरह नश्वर देखे।
