Uddhava Gita 17.25

17.25 Krishna to Uddhava

iti nānāprasaṅkhyānaṃ tattvānāmṛṣibhiḥ kṛtam | sarvaṃ nyāyyaṃ yuktimattvādviduṣāṃ kimaśobhanam ||

Thus the seers have made many different enumerations of the principles. All are proper, because they are reasoned; what is unbecoming for the learned?

Meaning today and context

Wise people can disagree in form and still all be right in substance. Respecting reasoned difference is better than turning philosophy into a fight.

Krishna closes his answer to Uddhava (Bhagavata 11.22.25): all the seers' counts are valid because each is reasoned.
