Even though the object is not real, the round of saṃsāra does not stop for one who keeps dwelling on objects, just as troubles keep coming in a dream.

Knowing a worry is unfounded doesn't stop it if we keep feeding it. What we dwell on keeps its power until we stop dwelling.
Krishna tells Uddhava (Bhagavata 11.22.56) that even though objects are not ultimately real, saṃsāra does not end for one who keeps dwelling on them.
