Uddhava Gita 17.61

17.61 Uddhava to Krishna

viduṣāmapi viśvātmanprakṛtirhi balīyasī | ṛte tvaddharmaniratānśāntāṃste caraṇālayān ||

Even for the learned, O Self of the universe, nature is stronger, except for those devoted to your dharma, peaceful, who have taken refuge at your feet.

Meaning today and context

Knowing what is right is not the same as being able to do it under pressure; our reactions are strong. Devotion and inner peace give a strength that knowledge alone may not.

Uddhava continues (Bhagavata 11.22.61): even the learned are overpowered by their nature, except those devoted to Krishna. This leads into Krishna's story of the brahmin of Avanti (UG.18).
