Uddhava Gita 2.4

2.4 Krishna to Uddhava

yarhyevāyaṃ mayā tyakto loko'yaṃ naṣṭamaṅgalaḥ | bhaviṣyatyacirātsādho kalināpi nirākṛtaḥ ||

The moment I leave this world, good friend, it will soon be stripped of all that is auspicious and overpowered by Kali.

In the Bhagavata's telling, the departure of the divine presence opens the harder age of Kali. It explains why Krishna now urges Uddhava toward inner refuge.

Krishna tells Uddhava that once he leaves, the world will soon lose its auspiciousness and be overcome by the Kali age.
