Uddhava Gita 2.43

2.43 Avadhuta to Yadu

tejo'bannamayairbhāvairmeghādyairvāyuneritaiḥ | na spṛśyate nabhastadvatkālasṛṣṭairguṇaiḥ pumān ||

As the sky is not touched by things made of fire, water and earth, or by clouds and the like driven by the wind, so the person (the Self) is not touched by the qualities that time brings forth.

Meaning today and context

Moods, events and circumstances blow through life like weather through the sky. They come and go; what you are underneath stays clear.

The sky lesson continued: clouds and weather pass through the sky without touching it.
