सूर्ये चाभ्यर्हणं प्रेष्ठं सलिले सलिलादिभिः । श्रद्धयोपाहृतं प्रेष्ठं भक्तेन मम वार्यपि ॥
sūrye cābhyarhaṇaṃ preṣṭhaṃ salile salilādibhiḥ | śraddhayopāhṛtaṃ preṣṭhaṃ bhaktena mama vāryapi ||
In the sun, adoration is dearest; in water, offerings of water and the like. Whatever is brought by my devotee with faith is dearest to me, even if it is only water.
