Uddhava Gita 22.45

22.45 Krishna to Uddhava

stavairuccāvacaiḥ stotraiḥ paurāṇaiḥ prākṛtairapi | stutvā prasīda bhagavanniti vandeta daṇḍavat ||

Having praised me with hymns and praises of every kind, from the Purāṇas or even in the common languages, saying 'Be gracious, O Lord', he should bow down flat like a staff.

Meaning today and context

You can pray in your own language and your own words; God hears the plain prayer as surely as the learned hymn. Bowing down is an honest act of humility.

Krishna (Bhagavata 11.27.45) says to praise him with hymns of every kind, Purāṇic or even in the common tongue, pray 'Be gracious, Lord', and bow down full length.
