Meaning today and context

When fear of death or of life's dangers grips us, it is honest to say so and ask for help. Surrender begins with admitting we cannot carry everything alone.

Krishna (Bhagavata 11.27.46) gives the prayer of surrender: with head at his feet and hands joined, the devotee says 'Protect me, Lord, who have taken refuge, afraid of the ocean of death and its sea monster.'
