कर्तुश्च सारथेर्हेतोरनुमोदितुरेव च । कर्मणां भागिनः प्रेत्य भूयो भूयसि तत्फलम् ॥
kartuśca sāratherhetoranumoditureva ca | karmaṇāṃ bhāginaḥ pretya bhūyo bhūyasi tatphalam ||
The doer, the helper, the instigator and the one who approves all share in (the fruit of) deeds after death; the greater the part, the greater the fruit.
करने वाला, सहायक (सारथी), प्रेरक और अनुमोदन करने वाला, ये सब मृत्यु के बाद कर्मों के भागी होते हैं; जिसका जितना अधिक भाग, उसे उतना अधिक फल।

We are responsible not only for what we do but for what we help, urge or cheer on. Going along with a wrong, or applauding it, is a share in it.
हम केवल अपने किए के लिए ही नहीं, बल्कि जिसमें सहायता करते हैं, जिसके लिए उकसाते हैं या जिसकी वाहवाही करते हैं, उसके लिए भी उत्तरदायी हैं। किसी ग़लत काम का साथ देना या उसकी सराहना करना भी उसमें भागीदारी है।
Krishna (Bhagavata 11.27.55) adds that not only the doer but the one who assists, the one who instigates and the one who approves share in the result of a deed after death, the more so the greater their part.
