Uddhava Gita 6.41

6.41 Krishna to Uddhava

yadyadiṣṭatamaṃ loke yaccātipriyamātmanaḥ | tattannivedayenmahyaṃ tadānantyāya kalpate ||

Whatever is most desired in the world, and whatever is dearest to oneself, that very thing one should offer to me; that leads to the endless.

Meaning today and context

Real offering is not giving away what we don't want. Offering what is dearest, even in a small way, loosens our hold on it.

Bhāgavata 11.11.41. Krishna says to offer him whatever is most desired and dearest; such an offering leads to the infinite.
