यर्हि संसृतिबन्धोऽयमात्मनो गुणवृत्तिदः । मयि तुर्ये स्थितो जह्यात्त्यागस्तद्गुणचेतसाम् ॥
yarhi saṃsṛtibandho'yamātmano guṇavṛttidaḥ | mayi turye sthito jahyāttyāgastadguṇacetasām ||
Since this bondage of worldly life is what lends the Self the workings of the guṇas, one should give it up, established in me, the fourth; then the guṇas and the mind are renounced.
चूँकि यह संसार-बंधन ही आत्मा पर गुणों की वृत्तियाँ आरोपित करता है, इसलिए तुरीय (चौथे), मुझमें स्थित होकर इसे छोड़ दे; यही गुणों और चित्त का त्याग है।
