Upadeshasahasri 17.68

17.68 Shankaracharya

ahameva ca bhūteṣu sarveṣveko nabho yathā | mayi sarvāṇi bhūtāni paśyannevaṃ na jāyate ||

'I alone am in all beings, one, like space'; seeing all beings in me in this way, one is not born [again].

Meaning today and context

Space is the same inside every pot. Seeing the same awareness in everyone softens envy, fear and hostility, because no one is truly other.

Shankaracharya, in the seventeenth chapter of the Upadeshasahasri (on right thinking), gives the vision of oneness with all beings, close to Bhagavad Gita 6.29.
