Vivekachudamani 1.195

1.195 Guru to Disciple

bhrāntiṃ vinā tvasaṅgasya niṣkriyasya nirākṛteḥ | na ghaṭetārthasaṃbandho nabhaso nīlatādivat ||

Without error, there could be no connection with objects for that which is unattached, actionless and formless, just as blueness and the like do not really belong to the sky.

Meaning today and context

The sky looks blue but is not painted blue. In the same way the labels and roles that seem stuck to you may be how you appear, not what you are.

The guru argues that the Self, being unattached and actionless, can be connected with objects only through error.
