Vivekachudamani 1.223

1.223 Guru to Disciple

brahmābhinnatvavijñānaṃ bhavamokṣasya kāraṇam | yenādvitīyamānandaṃ brahma sampadyate budhaiḥ ||

Knowing oneself to be not different from Brahman is the cause of liberation from worldly existence; by it the wise attain Brahman, the one without a second, bliss itself.

The feeling of being cut off, alone against the world, is at the root of much suffering. This verse says freedom comes from seeing you were never separate.
