ऐक्यं तयोर्लक्षितयोर्न वाच्ययोः । निगद्यतेऽन्योन्यविरुद्धधर्मिणोः । खद्योतभान्वोरिव राजभृत्ययोः । कूपाम्बुराश्योः परमाणुमेर्वोः ॥
aikyaṃ tayorlakṣitayorna vācyayoḥ | nigadyate'nyonyaviruddhadharmiṇoḥ | khadyotabhānvoriva rājabhṛtyayoḥ | kūpāmburāśyoḥ paramāṇumervoḥ ||
Their oneness is declared of what the words point to, not of their literal meanings; for literally they have opposite qualities, like a firefly and the sun, a servant and a king, a well and the ocean, an atom and Mount Meru.
