Vivekachudamani 1.308

1.308 Guru to Disciple

tato'hamādervinivartya vṛttiṃ | saṃtyaktarāgaḥ paramārthalābhāt | tūṣṇīṃ samāssvātmasukhānubhūtyā | pūrṇātmanā brahmaṇi nirvikalpaḥ ||

Then, turning the mind back from the ego and the rest, free of attachment because the highest truth is gained, sit silent, enjoying the bliss of the Self, complete, free of all mental constructs in Brahman.

Meaning today and context

After the work of understanding comes simply resting. Sitting quietly, not feeding the ego's commentary, lets a deeper contentment show itself.

The guru, in the Vivekachudamani attributed to Shankaracharya, tells the disciple, once the ego is cut, to turn the mind from it and rest silent in the bliss of the Self, free of mental constructs.
