Lord, sprinkle this one, scorched by the flames of the forest fire of worldly suffering, with the nectar of your words: pleasing to the ear, full and deeply cooling, flavoured with your own experience of the bliss of Brahman, poured from the vessel of your speech. Blessed are those who have come even for a moment within the path of your gaze, made worthy and accepted by you.

Meaning today and context

Words spoken from real experience can cool a mind on fire. When we are burning with worry, we need wisdom that is lived, not just repeated.

The seeker's prayer continues: he asks the guru to cool him with the nectar of his words.
